Patrick H. Mackay was born on his grandfather's 500+ acre estate, Harbor Hill. His family sold the property, which is now the village of East Hills, and moved to Locust Valley in the mid-fifties. Patrick went to Green Vale School, Vermont Academy and C.W. Post College, and then decided to move back to Locust Valley. He became a licensed agent at Piping Rock Associates in 1972 and purchased the firm in 1976 at the age of 27.

In 2015, after 43 years of success at Piping Rock Associates, he decided to merge the company with Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty. He felt that no other brokerage firm compares with Daniel Gale's reputation, integrity, training, support and professionalism. He felt the culture of both firms made it an easy decision.

Patrick brings his four decades of experience in the local, national and international luxury real estate market to Daniel Gale's Locust Valley office, as a Senior Sales Consultant and Associate Real Estate Broker, and Global Real Estate Advisor.

He remains deeply involved in the community including, holding a position on the boards of The Grenville Baker's Boys and Girls Club, The North Shore Land Alliance, as well as the Belmont Child Care Association, the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation, and numerous other clubs and organizations.

He is now once again doing what he loves to do---listing and selling premier properties on the North Shore of Long Island.
